In this edition of ‘The forgotten smartphone’ we go back to the year 2014. More than eight years ago, the LG G3 appeared. With this phone you had a 5.5 inch screen with a huge resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It was one of the first smartphones with a QHD display, although the results were not equally positive for everyone in practice. The difference with Full HD would hardly be noticeable.

Less positive reports were also about the speed and the software of the LG G3. At the time, DroidApp also received reports from various users about hairline cracks in the housing of the smartphone. The design of the phone had a plastic that looked like brushed metal, but it wasn’t. As with its predecessor, the LG G2, the power and volume keys were on the back of the phone. However, several improvements have been made to the design compared to the predecessor.
