EMUI 11 distribution finally launched

The company’s latest smartphones Huawei run on Android 10 with extension EMUI 11. The one according to the portal HuaweiCentral now they receive Huawei P30 a Huawei P30 Pro.

New superstructure, old system

The Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro smartphones are among the best-selling models in the history of the Chinese company Huawei. They came on the market before the US Department of Commerce ban, which forbids the company from selling American technology. Thanks to this, in addition to the great display, camera and Kirin 980 chipset, they also offered customers Google applications. They are missing the new model of this manufacturer.

These smartphones came to the market with Android 9.0 Pie and the EMUI 9.1 extension. They were later updated to Android 10 and an extension of EMUI 10 and EMUI 10.1 versions, respectively. The manufacturer began testing the EMUI 11 for these models in November last year. A stable version of the graphics superstructure was scheduled to arrive this quarter.

Huawei has finally fulfilled its promises and EMUI 11 for the global version of Huawei P30 and P30 Pro brings a software update called 11.0.0.138. It should be available in the form of OTA in Settings-> System and Updates -> Software Update -> Check for Update Availability. Its size is 1,81 GB. The system remains in Android 10.

List of changes in the update

Huawei also published a list of the changes it brings during the update. One of them is, for example, the improved and more beautiful Always On Display or new animations to reduce the strain on the eyes and brain. Cooperation with desktop computers will also be improved. After the new one, the user will be able to monitor up to three active smartphone screens on one computer.

Also interesting is the ability to easily delete sensitive data such as location, time and device details during data transfer. The new Super Notepad allows you to edit notes from multiple devices at the same time. Notes can also be locked in Notepad for added security. The gallery allows you to create a story from photos with special effects and background music.

How does the competition update its models?

The competition is also trying to update its smartphones. For example, Samsung has been very active in updates for the last two months. It recently updated the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ smartphones to One UI 3.1. Nokia recently introduced Android 11 for its first Nokia 8.3 5G model. Xiaomi has updated a number of its smartphones, including models of the standalone Redmi brand. An example is Redmi Note 9S.

Motorola started a few weeks ago with the distribution of Android 11 for its very first Motorola moto g pro smartphone. OnePlus has previously updated the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro models. They received the OxygenOS 11 built on the Android 11 system. After the new year, the Japanese company Sony again launched an update for its Xperia 10 II, Xperia 5 II or Xperia 1 and 5 smartphones.
