Electricity prices in Germany are currently at an all-time high. But prices are not only rising in this country. In our weekly ranking, we show you the ten countries in which electricity prices are currently the highest.
In order to be able to cope with the increased energy prices, the federal government has already decided on a price cap for electricity and gas. Other EU countries have followed suit and announced financial relief. Nevertheless, electricity prices are currently at an all-time high across Europe.
Where are electricity prices highest?
The energy crisis and climate change are driving up energy prices around the world. But where in the world were prices the highest in 2022? the Global Petrol Prices Platform has analyzed the current electricity prices in an international comparison. In the following ranking, we show you the ten countries in which the prices per kilowatt hour are currently the highest.
10th place: Estonia
In tenth place is Estonia with a price of 0.32 euros per kilowatt hour. As a northern European country, Estonia comprises more than 1,500 islands.
