Elden Ring: Golden Seeds – Locations for more potions

With the Golden Seed you can permanently increase the number of bottle uses in Elden Ring. So that you can use this playful advantage as early as possible, we will show you where to find the golden seeds for more potions.

Golden Seed locations in Elden Ring

At the beginning of the game you only have four bottle refills, which you also have to distribute between the Bottle of Crimson Tears (Heal HP) and the Bottle of Tears of Heaven (Heal FP). Using the Golden Seed allows you to permanently increase the number of potions.

If you have such an item in your inventory, you can sit at any place of grace and the menu items Bottles → Add Bottle Charge select and confirm. Note that each increase in the number of potions requires more Golden Seeds. Here it is a bit different than with the Holy Tears.

You can always find golden seeds at the foot of small gold glowing trees (see article picture above). So that you don’t miss any of the valuable items, we’ll show you exactly where the Golden Seed was found below.

Notice: This guide is under construction and will be gradually expanded to include other localities.

#1 Golden seed as a starter gift

You can get your first Golden Seed directly during character creation. Choose the Golden Seed as a memento. In our opinion, this is also generally the best starting gift that you can choose, since a direct increase in the number of potions benefits you the most in the game.

#2 Tomb of a Fringe Folk Hero

Region: Limgrave

booty from Boiled Tree Spirit boss in Tomb of a Fringe Hero dungeon. This is the locked dungeon that you come across right at the start of the game. You need two stone sword keys to open it.

#3 Storm Hill

Region: Limgrave

You can reach this Golden Seed first in the game. After you do that storm gate crossed where the big troll and the many soldiers are attacking you, you can go further up the path and get to Stormhill. At the top you will pass the tree with the seed on the right.

#4 Castle Stormveil

Region: Castle Stormveil

Just before the boss fight against Godrick at the end of Castle Stormveil, a large troll blocks your way. Before that you can discover another tree with seeds behind you on the wall. Follow the path as shown on the map below Place of Mercy “Chamber on Elevator Side” outgoing.

#5 Castle Stormveil

Region: Castle Stormveil

There is another Golden Seed in Stormveil Castle. You get these as loot from a mini boss who is at the bottom of the castle. To do this, go from the place of mercy “Chamber on the Elevator Side” towards the courtyard with the many soldiers and then right around the corner to the abyss. It’s quite high, but you can drop down to the level below. Then make your way further down and follow the path to the boss area.

#6 Fort Haight

Region: Limgrave

This tree is right in front of that Entrance to the Haight Fort south of the cloud forest in Limgrave.

#7 Siofra

Region: Siofra

This tree can be found in the underworld of Siofra. Access is gained through the fountain at Siofra in the Cloud Forest. Then follow the path through Siofra to the north and cross the bridge here. From a distance you can already see the golden tree with the seed.

#8 Peninsula of Tears

Region: Peninsula of Tears

On the way to Castle Morne in the south of the Peninsula of Tears. The tree is on a hill to the right of the path.

#9 Liurnia

Region: Liurnia (Gate town of the Alademie)

Directly west of Place of Mercy “Gatetown of the Academy” in Liurnia.

#10 Liurnia

Region: Liurnia (In front of the main gate of the Academy)

Rides from Academy main gate from the broken bridge head north to the end where the tree is.

#11 Academy Raya Lucaria

Region: Liurnia

Inside the Academy of Raya Lucaria. goes from Place of Grace “Forum of Debate” out into the large square and walk further back left through the archway. Behind is the tree with the seed.
