Dragon Age 4 will take place in the empire of Tevinter -apkrig

Already yesterday in the news summary, we mentioned the newly published book BioWare: Stories and Secrets from 25 Years of Game Development. According to the first readers, the long title introduces an engaging publication that contains a lot of unseen artwork, concepts and sketches from published and canceled games of the famous studio. The first to discuss the hitherto unknown details of the spiritual successor to the Jade Empire, which was created fifteen years ago under the working name Revolver. Now, Dragon Age fans have focused on the book, who have found an official confirmation in it, where the upcoming fourth volume will take place. The developers on the Dragon Age pages do not hide the fact that the working name of the game was Morrison and mention what must have been obvious to rock fans for several years – Dragon Age 4 will take place in Tevinter.

“With BioWare entering its 25th year of operation, the Dragon Age development team worked on the Morrison project – codenamed and long-awaited sequel to Dragon Age: Inquisition,” the book said. “The game, sponsored by executive producer Mark Darrah, will take players to Tevinter when the events of Inquisition and Trespasser (DLC) threaten to change Thedas forever,” confirms the direct sequel and move to another region. However, as we indicated in the introduction, there can be no big surprise for the fans, given that Tevinter was talked about at the end of the previous part, resp. in the aforementioned DLC Trespasser, no one doubted the placement too much, and the last time rock fans guessed it was in the summer of 2019, when there was no specific talk about the game.

However, for understandable reasons, the developers do not answer the key questions about the current state of the game or when we can look forward to it, and we have to wait patiently.

Nevertheless, according to Eurogamer editor Tom Phillips, the annual book BioWare brings a few other details that we can consider as confirmation of other locations that we should visit in the game. Phillips was the first to be captivated by the image of a large city on the water – most likely the capital of the Principality of Antiva, which borders Tevinter to the east. An unspecified necropolis also appears in the pictures, but Phillips states that they are the domain of the Kingdom of Nevarra, which lies south of Tevinter for a change, and it is again very likely that the editor of Eurogamer is aiming precisely. It adds snippets about the guild of reward hunters The Lords of Fortune, operating northeast of Tevineter in Rivain, the emblem of the elite organization of thieves, spies and assassins Antivan Crows, and links to dwarves and the Morn Watch order.

However, for understandable reasons, the developers do not answer the key questions about the current state of the game or when we can look forward to it, and we have to wait patiently. It is worth noting, however, that although the game was announced at the end of 2018 and is probably still being worked on for three years longer, the latest information does not sound very optimistic. When publishing financial results during 2020, EA Chief Operating Officer Blake Jorgensen said that Dragon Age 4 is “probably” not expected until after the end of the 2022 financial period, which begins in March this year and ends in April 2022. This would mean that Dragon Age 4 may arrive in less than two years at Christmas ’22, but hope dies last…
