Do you have a robot vacuum cleaner, mop or mower at home

Robot vacuum cleaners are becoming more and more sophisticated and we see the same thing happening with mopping robots and lawn mowers. In this AW Poll we would like to investigate whether you already have a robot assistant that helps maintain your home or lawn.

Robots in the house

Our sister site AW Smart wrote about the new iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ today. The robot can vacuum and mop in one clean-up and can lift its mop neatly with a mechanical arm when traveling over a carpet. He gets his water himself in a tank at the base station and that is also the place where he cleans his own water reservoir and empties the dirt.

Robots are becoming more intelligent and an aspect that should not be underestimated is navigation. Robots today map out the rooms of your home and identify possible obstacles in their path. For example, they no longer get stuck behind cables.

These features of robotic vacuums and mops are also carried over to robotic lawnmowers. We wrote recently in our weekly gadgets article about the Lawna robotic lawnmower, even dodging a football side coming its way. You can also ask yourself whether it will eventually be possible to combine the functionalities of a robotic lawnmower and a vacuum cleaner in one product. For example, you could exchange the vacuuming and mopping module of the robot for a lawnmower blade and a sturdier set of wheels, before activating the robot in the garden.
