Disappearing photos from Whatsapp will soon block screenshots
If you receive a photo in WhatsApp with a ‘one-time view’, you can view it for longer by taking a screenshot. Soon that will no longer be possible.

WhatsApp is going to look like Snapchat with photos
WhatsApp introduced ‘one-time display’ last year (View Once) on the up. Sends photos and videos that disappear after opening. This way you can only view a photo once! We have known this function for a long time from apps like Snapchat.
However, the popular messaging app wants to be even more like Snapchat. WhatsApp is going to block screenshots for these photos (and videos) that you can only view once. In this article you can read what that means for you.
No more screenshots with ‘single view’
We wrote about the addition of this feature before, when Mark Zuckerberg announced it on Facebook. Now see WABetaInfo, a site that keeps track of all the novelties of WhatsApp, that the function has actually been rolled out in the latest beta. So you will soon be able to block screenshots of photos sent via ‘single view’ on WhatsApp. This way, your spicy photos are a little safer.
What WhatsApp has not thought of, however, is that it is still possible to take a photo of your phone’s screen with the disappearing photo with another camera. However, this cannot be solved with software either.
If someone tries to take a screenshot while viewing such a photo, WhatsApp will soon show a message that the recording has been ‘blocked for extra privacy’. It is unknown when Whatsapp will make this feature available for all smartphones. It is clear, however, that these settings cannot be circumvented.

Besides the fact that WhatsApp blocks screenshots of disappearing photos, there is even more news in the latest beta version of the app. It also adds the ability to create interactive polls.
