Curse of the Dead Gods

The action roguelite Curse of the Dead Gods will soon move to the full version after about a year in the preliminary approach. During our stay in early access, the game has received a very positive evaluation from many players, so the rest of us do not have to think for too long whether to start the game or not. If you enjoy games like Hades or Dead Cells, then you should not leave disappointed.

In Curse of the Dead Gods, you face a decent crowd of tough enemies, as in almost every roguelite game, but perhaps the traps are equally represented here. At every step, you are threatened by deadly spikes, motion detection loopholes, clouds of poisonous smoke, hungry flames and many other tweaks prepared for you by the ancient architects of the local temple complex.

With each death, you become stronger by unlocking new abilities, and don’t think the game has a curse in its name for nothing. From time to time, you will be faced with the decision of donating some of your blood to the dead gods in exchange for reinforcement, but at the same time you will receive a twofold punishment. Two-edged because you can easily pass on your suffering to enemies.

For example, if you are cursed by triggering all the traps in your vicinity, regardless of their usual triggers, you can use it and lure enemies into them. In any case, the passage through the game changes for you with each subsequent curse, and you must adapt to new conditions if you want to survive in this inhospitable environment.

Curse of the Dead Gods will be released on February 23 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch. You still have time to buy the game on a computer in its preliminary access, and thus save compared to the planned full price.
