Avatar 2 is now profitable: James Cameron announces that he will make the 3 sequels
It’s done, Avatar: The Way of the Water is now profitable and James Cameron says he will take care of the three sequels. The release dates are already known: December 18, 2024 for the third, December 16, 2026 for the fourth and December 20, 2028 for the fifth.

Avatar: The Way of the Water surpassed $1.5 billion at the box office and became the highest-grossing movie for a film released in 2022. James Cameron was featured on the podcast Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? to discuss his film and rightly announced that it is now profitable in view of the current box office. According to the figures circulating, the budget is $400 million. Then you have to add the budget for marketing. Also note that 100% of the price of a cinema ticket does not go into the pockets of James Cameron and Disney.
