Are you serious? The almost new Realme Pad will remain without updates

When we recently wrote about updating the Nvidia SHIELD TV to Android 11, the American company, of course, received praise from us, as it also sent the new system to the original model from 2015 (originally with Android 5). This is a very good example long-term customer and product care. The sad contrast is the decision of Realme, which, a few months after its release, essentially “buried” its realmepad tablet. It was officially stated that the equipment sold since September 2021 missing Android 12.

“No, Realme Pad will not be updated on Android 12, but will receive security patches and updates for better performance during its support,” the manufacturer said among frequently asked questions on its official website. Such a short (or rather absolutely non-existent) length of system updates is nowadays unprecedented in such a significant company. While Realme “rolls” on smartphones, in the case of his first tablet, it seems reluctant to take any significant care of him. Who knows if we’ll ever see another one.
