The Apple TV 4K is Apple’s ultimate streaming box for your television. You can of course watch Apple TV+ with it, but you can expand the streaming offer with apps. The box is also very suitable for gaming via Apple Arcade.

Apple TV 4K 2022 hardware
The main difference compared to the predecessor is the new A15 Bionic chip. We already know it from the iPhone 13 series, as well as the iPad mini 6 and the new ‘normal’ iPhone 14. In short, a super fast processor that can handle streaming content in the highest resolutions and the latest games from Apple Arcade. This also ensures that you will receive updates for tvOS for a long time to come.
A second addition is the support for HDR10 + content. That is another standard for video images with more colors, just like Dolby Vision. The latter was already supported on previous Apple TVs.
Even more differences
In addition, there are even more, smaller differences compared to the previous version of the Apple TV 4K. For example, the Siri Remote now has a USB-c connection instead of Lightning. The standard storage of Apple TV will also increase to 64 GB, in addition there is a version with 128 GB. And thanks to Thread Mesh support, you can also control the very latest smart-home accessories.
Two versions
The Apple TV 4K is out the 4th of November available and comes in two versions: one with and one without an Ethernet connection. Wireless internet of course have both versions. And good news: against the trend, the Apple TV 4K 2022 has become cheaper. The model with only Wi-Fi and 64 GB storage is sold for 169 euros, the version with Ethernet and 128 GB costs 189 euros.
