OnePlus 9 (Pro) now really gets Android 12 update with new patch

A new update is being rolled out for the OnePlus 9 Pro and the OnePlus 9. The manufacturer’s smartphones will now really receive the update to Android 12, along with a new security patch. But what does the changelog say about that?

OnePlus 9 (Pro) update to Android 12

In December 2021, OnePlus started rolling out the update to Android 12 for the OnePlus 9 series. The update was soon withdrawn, and the update would later be rolled out slowly but surely. However, it remained vague and unclear; because in recent times many devices remained on Android 11, and a new OxygenOS update was rolled out, but Android 12 was nowhere to be seen.

Now OnePlus seems to have really started spreading the update to Android 12 for the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. We see this reflected on our device, among other things. However, the update, which has version number LE2123_11.C.47_1470_202202102117 for the OnePlus 9 Pro, contains a very limited changelog. Despite the size being 4.1GB, only some optimizations and improvements are reported, along with security update March 2022. Nothing points to Android 12. However, before installing the message appears that it is recommended to make a backup.

Only after installation does it become clear that the necessary things have been adjusted here and there. For example, the icons have been adjusted, the font is a bit thicker and there are colored notifications. There are also the new functions from Android 12. The update is now being rolled out to users of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.
