Apple partners with Pepsi to offer Apple Music subscriptions and Beats products

Apple and PepsiCo have formed a partnership which is going to be interesting for all those who drink Pepsi, since it is about subscriptions offered to Apple Music, as well as Beats products as a gift.

This advertising campaign, which is called Press Play on Summer, will concern 400 million 50 cl bottles where you will find QR Codes. Scanning the QR Code will allow you to have three months free of Apple Music. This will be accessible to new customers. Those who are already subscribers will not be able to add the three months offered to their account. Also, it is not specified whether people who have had a subscription in the past can be eligible for the offer.

Other gifts are on the program, including invitations to Apple Music Live, namely concerts (Ed Sheeran opened the ball for season 2). There will also be Beats headphones and earphones.

As we can see from the image above, Pepsi chose Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny for their campaign. This choice is not trivial, Bad Bunny was crowned artist of the year 2022 by Apple Music. Also, his album A Verano Sin Ti was the most streamed album of 2022 on the streaming service.

QR codes are now appearing on Pepsi bottles. The Press Play on Summer campaign will be in place all summer. It seems to be for the moment reserved for the United States, there is no information for other countries.

For information, Apple and Pepsi already know each other since the two had established a partnership in 2003. Pepsi offered 100 million music downloads on the iTunes Store.
