Apple demonstrates security check on iPhone in video

Apple has posted a video about Safety Check, new to iPhone with iOS 16. It allows you to quickly stop sharing your information, or review and update sharing with certain people and apps.

When using the security check feature, keep in mind that some people may notice that you stop sharing your data with them. When you end sharing relationships, you may lose access to data, such as shared photos and notes.

You can use the feature to check who you share information with, restrict Messages and FaceTime apps to your iPhone, reset system data access permissions granted to apps, change your passcode, change your Apple ID password , and more. If you want to re-share with someone after using the feature, just open the app or service from which you want to share information and re-share the desired content.

Also, the safety check function offers an emergency reset. This consists of immediately stopping the sharing of items, including all types of sharing. The emergency reset also allows you to review and reset the settings associated with your Apple ID.
