Android 12L is available in final version
After several betas, Google makes available today the final version of Android 12L. This version is currently available on Pixels. It will arrive later on devices from Samsung, Lenovo and Microsoft.
Availability of Android 12L in final version
Android 12L is an operating system that was announced by Google last October. It mainly targets foldable smartphones and tablets to adapt to their format. But Google also offers the version on Pixels. Moreover, they are the only ones to have it immediately, which can be considered ironic.
Android 12L features a two-column display and other large-screen optimizations throughout the system and apps, especially in quick settings and the notification panel. There’s also a taskbar for large-screen devices, which works similar to the taskbar in Windows and the dock in macOS. You can touch apps to open them or drag icons from one side of the screen to open them in split-screen mode.
Split-screen mode has also been updated, with a more prominent split line. There are also a handful of other useful changes, like the letterboxing for apps in portrait mode on tablets and new gestures for notifications.
Android 12L final version download is available for Pixel 3a/3a XL, 4/4 XL, 4a/4a 5G, 5, 5a and 6/6Pro.
