Amazon Unveils Star Crew Series About Fallout Games

Amazon is working on a TV series about the Fallout games and it turns out that a huge star crew is behind it.

It was already known that Amazon would be filming the wildly popular Fallout games. Now it turns out that fans of the franchise are practically guaranteed to be in for a treat. In addition to a short teaser of the franchise’s iconic standby screen on an old TV, Deadline shares the creators of the upcoming series. And man, Amazon has really hit it off here.

Amazon Fallout series gets star crew

The upcoming TV series will be co-written by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan. You know, the couple behind the brilliantly written HBO hit Westworld. In addition, Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) and Graham Wagner (Silicon Valley) as show runners. Bethesda boss Todd Howard is also involved in the project.

Unfortunately, we have to keep you in suspense as far as actors and storylines are concerned. Amazon has not yet announced anything about what exactly we can expect in that area.

Amazon does, of course, confirm with the Tweet below that the Fallout series is set in a post-apocalyptic 1940s and 1950s. The TV, the standby message and the typical setting of the game franchise all point to that. There has been something of an apocalypse. Something of war is going to break out between humans and monsters.

Amazon announced that it will be working on a Fallout series in 2020. In the meantime, of course, it has been a drama to produce entertainment. We have heard very little since then, except that product will start in 2022. That underlines the fact that we have to be patient for the time being.
