There will be new adventures around Spider-Man again. Sony has announced that they are teaming up with Amazon to develop several series for Prime Video. Even a first heroine has already been determined.

Amazon is working on several series based on Spider-Man

Although Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is now part of the larger Marvel Universe, Sony still owns the rights to the hero. The tech group has now revealed how they imagine the future of the friendly neighborhood spider. An important part of it should be several TV Shows on Prime Video be.

As Variety reports, the first series will be called Silk: Spider Society. The protagonist is Cindy Moon, an American-Korean woman who is bitten by the same spider that gave Peter Parker his powers. The series aims to show how she searches for her missing family while trying to avoid prison and in the process Superhero Silk becomes. The masterminds behind Silk: Spider Society are Angela Kang, best known for her work as showrunner on The Walking Dead, and also Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who are responsible for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse are responsible.
