Galaxy Watch 4

The German website Winfuture has shared new information about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. The new watch from the South Korean manufacturer should be officially announced later this month, but we are already getting the necessary information. Incidentally, it is not the first time that we hear about the new products that will be announced on August 11th. We already know that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 are also coming. Today’s posts are about the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Watch 4 Classic; two of the company’s three new smartwatches. There will also be an Active model of the Galaxy Watch 4.

Samsung will give the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic the well-known, familiar design. There will be a 42 millimeter and a 46 millimeter version of the watch. There is a choice of different materials such as aluminum and stainless steel. It delivers a 1.36 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 450 x 450 pixels. Screen protection comes thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass DX.

There will be 16GB of memory and 1.5GB of RAM. Samsung places an Exynos W920 chipset in the watch. The watch is waterproof up to 5 ATM, there is an IP68 certification and, if desired, also a 4G version. As is known, Samsung no longer provides the devices with Tizen, but with One UI Watch, which is inspired by Google’s Wear OS. This also gives you access to the Play Store for downloading apps.

Galaxy Watch 4

In addition to the Active and the Classic, there is also a ‘normal’ Galaxy Watch 4. This smartwatch is available as a 40 and 42 mm model. The specifications hardly differ from those of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The difference is mainly in the use of materials. According to the source, the Galaxy Watch 4 will have a screen size of 1.19 inches. In addition, this watch has a battery capacity of 247 mAh, instead of the 361 mAh with the Watch 4 Classic.
