After almost a year, the Motorola Razr will also receive Android 11

You’re a little late to the party. But welcome Android 11 to the Motorola Razr.

Better late than never? That certainly applies to the Motorola Razr. The foldable smartphone of the brand appeared on the market in 2019. A new version followed a year later. But for the former, there’s good news now if you’ve got one. The upgrade to Android 11 is finally available.

We say a little late to the party, because Android 11 appeared in a few weeks exactly one year ago. In fact, Android 12 is set to be released this fall. It remains a bit of a disadvantage that sticks to Android. Some manufacturers are very quick to adopt the latest version. Other brands take months and months to complete the support. Like Motorola in this case.

Anyone who has a Motorola Razr from 2020 has been able to use Android 11 since the spring of this year. It is not known why it took so long to bring the latest version of Android to the older device.

Folding smartphones are slowly but surely becoming more and more common. For developers, there is a challenge to display apps properly on the special screens of these devices. This week, Samsung announced two more foldable smartphones in the form of the Galaxy Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip3. (via Android Police)
