A novelty is coming to Android Auto. You play games

Android Auto has a novelty for its fans. According to the Android Police web portal, it will offer users the opportunity to play games. It’s about HTML5 minigames. The new feature is available in the latest beta called 6.7.

Android Auto brings the ability to play simple games

An add-on called GameSnacks has appeared in the mentioned trial version of Android Auto, which, after clicking, will show you the offer of supported games. Reddit forums have shown the first evidence of the existence of this add-on, while previously it was still only hidden and nicknamed as GearSnacks. Now the novelty has appeared in the classic beta version of the environment.

GameSnacks offers simple games built on HTML5. They are designed mainly for less powerful hardware with more limited Internet access. This makes perfect sense for this car platform. The individual games are obviously fully functional.

Today’s modern smartphones with this type of game will have absolutely no problem, they load quickly and the control is very responsive. On the other hand, we wonder what playing games will be like in terms of ergonomics.

The novelty is already available in the beta version of the application

Even though you should definitely not play games while driving, it is questionable whether anyone will play these games at all. After all, if you sometimes wait in the car for a long time, you will probably take your phone with you and play a full game from the Play Store.

On the other hand, we are pleased that the American giant Google is interested in Android Auto. It puts a lot of effort into the environment and it is an ever-growing platform. If you’re signed in to beta test Android Android, it’s possible that you’ve already received version 6.7. If that doesn’t happen, you can still download it manually from the verified APK Mirror website. However, at your own risk.
