Huawei comes to the Netherlands with the new P50 Pro and foldable P50 Pocket
Huawei has announced that it will release two devices from the new Huawei P50 series in Europe. Both the Huawei P50 Pro and the Huawei P50 Pocket, which you can fold, are coming to our country.
Huawei P50 to the Netherlands
The Huawei P50 series has been around for some time. The series was already announced in several countries in July 2021. Now Huawei has made the choice that a few of these devices will also be released in the Netherlands. However, the biggest obstacle is still there; as with the Huawei P40 models, there is no support for the Google Play Store and Google services. In addition, Huawei cannot put a 5G chipset in the device due to American trade restrictions. The European versions of both the P50 and P50 Pro come with the Snapdragon 888 with 4G support.
Huawei P50 Pro
We start with the Huawei P50 Pro. This device comes with a quad camera which immediately catches the eye. This means a 50-megapixel main lens, a 40-megapixel monochrome sensor and a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens. In addition, Huawei has also equipped the device with a 64 megapixel persicoop lens for telephoto photos. The phone has an impressive 6.6-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. At the top is a 13 megapixel lens for selfies.
The Huawei P50 Pro is also equipped with a 4360 mAh battery with 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone is available in 8GB/256GB configuration. You can choose from the colors Golden Black and Cocoa Gold. The price; it comes out at 1199.99 euros.
Huawei P50 Pocket
In the past, Huawei has already released foldable smartphones in the Mate series; now the manufacturer does the same in the P-series. It is the Huawei P50 Pocket, which has a similar design to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. The smartphone was already presented in December for some regions. The smartphone has a 6.9-inch OLED screen with a 10.7MP front camera. On the back there is a triple camera; 40MP, 13MP wide angle and 32MP Ultra Spectrum lens. There is also a 1.0 inch cover screen on the cover, which gives you insight into notifications and more.
The Huawei P50 Pocket, which is equipped with a Snapdragon 888 4G chipset, has a 4000 mAh battery with 40W charging. You can choose from one variant; the one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For the foldable smartphone with HarmonyOS you pay 1599.99 euros. Both models can now be ordered from Huawei.
