New security update available for Oppo A91, Nokia XR20, 8.3 and Nokia 9 PureView

A new security update is being rolled out to three Nokias and an Oppo. In all four cases, it concerns the new December security update, which is the most recent security patch available for Android.

December update for four devices

Three Nokia devices are updated to a new security update by HMD Global. It is an update for the Nokia XR20, the recent robust device from the manufacturer, the Nokia 8.3 and the Nokia 9 PureView. All three devices will be updated to the December 2021 security update. Updates for the three Nokias will be rolled out in phases, so it may take a while until everyone can download the update. We don’t see any major changes in the changelog, so it seems that only a new security update is included.

At Oppo, the Oppo A91 will be updated with a new update, Roelf tells DroidApp. His smartphone is being updated with the December update addressing several dozen security vulnerabilities. The update can now be downloaded in the Netherlands and Belgium. The update only brings the new patch and no further features or changes.
