Harry and Meghan become parents of daughter Lilibet

Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, as her full name is, was named after her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. Her middle name, Diana, is a reference to her late grandmother, Princess Diana.

Archie

Lili is Harry and Meghan’s second child. They have another son named Archie who was born in 2019. The family lives in the United States.

Rumors

In February, the couple officially announced the pregnancy. A few months earlier, in October, there were already rumors that Meghan would be pregnant. A lawsuit she conducted about her privacy was then resisted, but the reason for this was kept secret.

Miscarriage

Meghan had a miscarriage last summer. She made this known at the end of last year in an opinion article in The New York Times, in which she described the loss. She told in great detail about the moment when she lost her baby. “I had just changed Archie’s diaper when I felt a cramp,” she wrote. She fell to the ground with her son still in her arms. “I hummed a song to keep us both calm.” She felt it was very wrong. “I knew, while holding my first child, that I was losing my second.”
