Samsung is targeting Apple with slander advertisements
Samsung has launched two offensive commercials that ridicule the camera of the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Samsung is targeting Apple with the launch of an advertising campaign about the Galaxy S21 Ultra compared to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It mainly concerns the cameras, where the Galaxy S21 Ultra says it is much better. The slogan ‘upgrading your smartphone should not be a downgrade’ says enough. Anyway, the first ad that Samsung publishes compares the zoom capabilities of the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max with that of the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The latter has a 108MP main shooter where the iPhone has to do with 12 megapixels. That is a drastic difference on paper. Also in advertising, Apple does not seem to stand a chance.
The second commercial tackles the zoom of the two devices when zooming in on objects that are close by. Samsung claims in the advertising that Apple’s smartphone records much less detail. The colors on Samsung’s image also seem much nicer and more vivid.
Of course you should always serve a portion of salt in such attacks. After all, it is a smear campaign in which we do not know how the images were made. Although not very likely, it could be that Samsung is using old-fashioned camera trick here. In any case, they have chosen the best scenarios for themselves.
This is also evident from the results, because the difference between the two devices is actually not that great at all in most comparisons. Samsung should have an unprecedented lead on paper as they offer almost 10 times the megapixels. On the other hand, they definitely don’t do 10 times better. And as nasty as Samsung’s advertising against Apple is, the sales figures of those two speak volumes.
