Instagram Bio-Links: Companies are annoyed by the update
According to Zuckerberg, this update was one of the most requested features – but only from the user side. Because for companies such as Beacons or Linktree, the innovation has a negative impact on their business.
These companies offer solutions for multiple linking on social media profiles. However, the new Instagram update means that users are no longer dependent on it to the same extent.
Instagram: You can add up to five links in your bio
The new Instagram update applies to both Creator Accounts and Business. To store multiple links in the bio, you must click on “Edit” on your profile.
You can then use the “Links” tab to add external URLs and enter a corresponding description. You can also sort the various links here.
This is important because only the first link in the list will appear directly in the profile. All other redirects only become visible when a follower clicks on the corresponding button.
That’s why links in the Instagram bio are worthwhile
With the link in your bio you can ensure more traffic on your account. You can also forward followers and visitors to your profile to your website or online shop in this way.
However, you should note that the built-in links open in the Instagram app itself. If you prefer that other users use a browser like Chrome or Safari, you have to set this up separately.
