Only 15 percent of readers have Android Auto Coolwalk

Android Auto is provided with a new interface, but few readers have that interface. But 15 percent say they have Android Auto Coolwalk, while 75 percent don’t. 4 percent don’t use Android Auto and 5 percent don’t know. Those are not very fantastic results for the new interface, which hopefully will roll out soon.

Android Auto Coolwalk

If you don’t have a car, you don’t need Android Auto Coolwalk, but apparently the update isn’t as widely available as we thought. Actually, it would have been time for the Android Auto Coolwalk last summer, but that turned out differently. We got the green light for the stable version of Coolwalk on January 6, but it will take a while for the update to be released worldwide, as it turns out.

hvl62 does have it, but finds it a bit cumbersome: “As a beta tester, I’ve had this interface for a few months now. But precisely because I am a beta tester, I try as much as possible. Because of this I am often messing around in the settings. But what I don’t understand is that you have to do so many actions to get there. First go to the settings of the phone, then app management and search android auto, and once opened you still have the additional settings. Pretty cumbersome all. Of course it could be my phone…Wondering if anyone knows another way, for example with a shortcut or something.”

New in-car interface

Well, because not many people have it, it is also difficult to get an answer to that. Fortunately Gerke does not have that problem, he is very happy: “Not a beta tester, but active for about 4 weeks now. very happy with it.” There are also people who say that they had the update before, but it is now gone. In short, it is an exciting process in which you apparently never quite know where you stand. In any case, the walk is not so cool for many people at the moment.

The poll did, it was very popular, so it seems that readers are shy about the update that, among other things, provides a kind of split-screen experience. Boysmakenoize, for example: “Not yet… Having a Pixel doesn’t seem to give priority either 😅” That doesn’t apply to peSHIr, because it can whistle anyway: “There’s an option missing: I can’t use Android Auto in 2005 Toyota since the separate phone app is gone.. 🙄” Megapaul is eagerly waiting for it and has just started singing: “Still no coolwalk interface here. It’s kind of like Davina Michelle’s song; it takes too long…”
