Samsung: Streaming app for other TV manufacturers

The Samsung TV Plus streaming platform is currently still available exclusively for newer Samsung televisions and Android smartphones. According to reports, that could change soon. The Korean group is therefore in talks with the Chinese manufacturer TCL. This could allow the streaming app in the future no longer only available from Samsung.

A unique selling proposition would be lost for Samsung, but a larger market share is probably more important to the group. TCL is just the beginning. Only last year Samsung beefed up its platform and added more channels in addition to a new design. Around 1,600 channels are available worldwide free of charge via Samsung TV Plus.
