6 secret Apple products in development right now
Apple is best known for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, but the company is constantly working on new technology in secret. And if the rumors are true, spectacular Apple products are in the works. Here they are.

1. Apple Car
Everything indicates that Apple is developing an electric car: the Apple Car. For a long time, the tech giant worked on two different projects: a semi-autonomous car (like Tesla) and a fully autonomous car. Now Apple seems to be fully committed to the second: the company wants to develop the first car that is completely self-driving.
What the car might look like can be seen in this Apple Car concept. The software that would control the car is currently being tested and, of course, there is seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem. We still have a few years to spare, as Apple is rumored to be aiming for a 2025 release.
2. Apple Glass
In the future, you will not only put glasses on your nose to see better, or to protect your eyes from the sun. The glasses also become a device for augmented reality, where you see virtual elements in reality. Apple is seriously working on such a gadget and has been fully committed to smart glasses for years.
Rumor has it that you can see notifications with Apple smart glasses. You view your apps, e-mails and navigation through the glasses of the glasses, so that you do not have to take your iPhone out of your pocket. The glasses would also have their own App Store, so you can also download third-party apps. The Apple Glass is expected to be released around 2025.

3. Mixed reality headset
In addition to the glasses, Apple is also developing a mixed reality headset. It is a headset that allows you to fully immerse yourself in a virtual world, but it also supports augmented reality. Hence the name mixed reality. And there is good news: the device is already expected in the fourth quarter of 2022.
It appears to be a very advanced (and pricey) device. The headset is rumored to have dual 8K displays, with 15 cameras, eye tracking, and a processor even more powerful than the MacBook’s M1 chip. According to the latest rumors, the device is intended for gaming, media and communication.
4. Smart speaker with screen
What do you get when you mix an iPad with a HomePod? A kind of Google Nest Hub, but from Apple. Reportedly, Apple is working on such a smart speaker with a built-in display and camera. This way you can immediately see the weather forecast, without having to ask the speaker first. You can also watch a YouTube video on it, for example.
According to trusted Apple analyst Mark Gurman of Bloomberg we don’t have to expect the device in the short term. A release is said to be “not in the foreseeable future.”
5. Apple monitor
Apple already sells an Apple monitor, but it is one for more than 5000 euros. And then you don’t even have the accompanying standard of 1099 euros (!). Fortunately, Apple is also working on a monitor that the average consumer can afford.
The monitor is said to be in early development, so don’t count on it coming in 2022. It seems to be a successor to the Thunderbolt Display. This screen appeared in 2011 and cost $999. Apple stopped selling the monitor in 2016, but there may be a comeback.
6. Foldable iPhone
Countless patents prove it: Apple is also investing in the foldable phone. According to the latest rumors, Apple will introduce its folding phone in 2023. The device is said to have an 8-inch OLED screen.
Apple probably uses nanowire technology for the screen. This material is very flexible and can be folded more than once. The reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects that the iPhone can be folded both larger and smaller.
