Google Solves: A major update (not only) has been released for Pixel 6

The Google Pixel 6 series suffered from a number of issues when released, for which it was well criticized. She had problems with the display, with the fingerprint reader, with random retrieval, and so on. Google promised corrections for December and they have just arrived. In addition to the obvious December patches, it also brings more than 100 fixes. The list is really long and Google numerically separates the devices affected by the fixes. Some are applicable to all devices that have received this update (Pixel 3 and later).

Specifically for Pixel 6, Google has fixed random contact invocations through the Assistant, UI freezes, various audio adjustments, including fixes to a well-known feature that detects the Now Playing song. Improvements also affected the battery, its charging and status display.

Google has also improved the stability and performance of the fingerprint reader, which is the second big issue that Pixel 6 has been blamed on. Bluetooth audio has also been improved, and camera performance and consistency have been optimized. Various sensors have also been improved.

Also new is the dynamic Material You theme for the boot screen – it is displayed when you turn on your mobile phone, when the Google logo “dances” there. After the new one, it will match the colors of the system.

The display should no longer cause so many problems – flicker has been removed during brightness changes, the display has been repaired – it should no longer jam at a higher refresh rate when it is not needed. Fixes that prevented the Always-On display from turning on were also fixed.
