59% of readers do not want to pay more than 700 euros for Pixel 8

We see a new leak about Pixel 8 almost every weekend and although it’s still a bit quiet this weekend, we do have something to write about the new phone. After all, we wrote a poll about the device earlier this week, after rumors about the price point of the new Google gadget. What seems? Our readers don’t want to spend more than 700 euros for the standard Pixel 8. Most of it, at least: 59 percent.

Google Pixel 8

For one in four readers, they are willing to pay a little more for the device: they also think that between 700 and 900 euros is very fair for the new device. Only 4 percent would pay 900 to 1100 euros for the Pixel 8, while no one would actually want to pay 1100 to 1300 euros for the standard edition of the device. That’s only 0.66 percent. Would it be jimmy_oosterwaal? He says: “I don’t care what it costs, I now have the 6 Pro and would like to go to the Fold or wait for the Pixel 8 😁”

8 percent don’t want a Pixel 8 at all, so don’t worry about putting aside budget, while 3 percent said they would choose “other”. CubicNomad is nice and sustainable: “I will keep my 6 pro for another year, it will still get Android 14 and the device is still fine in terms of hardware, including the battery. 😃👍🏻 I would spend around 600 to 700 if I bought the 8, that’s about what I paid for my current pro, but you won’t get the 8 pro for that if the price increase is implemented. 🫢 So the 6 pro can serve me daily for another year longer…. 😂😂

AW Poll

It turns out that many readers also look at the previous phone, Pixel 7. What did it cost, and does a new (probably higher) price also fit with the innovations and improvements that Google brings? glass blower says: “Given the qualities of the Pixel 7, for which I paid € 500 with a pre-order discount and an extension, I would go for the Pixel 8 for a maximum of € 700.” Of course we don’t take special deals and offers into account, but of course we hope that they will come to make it even more tempting to move to this ultra-clean Android experience.

At least, if the device lives up to it a bit. We won’t know that until the fall, because the device is expected to be announced in October. Still handy to be busy with it now and put some money aside for when the time comes.

While you save, we will entertain you every week with an AW Poll. Thanks for participating and see you next week!
