4ka Android Code: These are the best applications for transportation and travel in 2021

As every year, the year 2020 belongs to two large surveys on our website. The first is NAY Android Roka 2021where you vote for the best equipment for the past year. It will be launched shortly. The second is a survey 4ka Android Code 2021. Within it, we traditionally nominate the best Slovak Android applications and you decide on the order in individual categories. Today we will introduce the category The best applications for transport and travel.

Last year’s winner in this category was the Traffic Card on Mobile (Ubian) application, which is therefore unable to take part in this year’s vote.

CP timetables

Well-known application for all commuters – bus, train, but also public transport. In addition, it is completely free, but it only works online. In addition to simple functions such as connection search, it also offers advanced filtering options for low-floor vehicles for wheelchair passengers or bicycle passengers. In the application you will also find the option to purchase a ticket from supported carriers and much more.

HOPIN – Slovak application – taxi, bus, courier

Travel easier with the HOPIN app. You can order a taxi, a luxury limousine online and see the current location of public transport or a schedule and timetable. A very popular transport application in Slovakia, which has already been downloaded by over 500,000 users, offers several profiles, while Limo and public transport profiles can only be used in the capital.

We’re going by train

An application from the state carrier ŽSSK, which allows you to monitor the current position of trains, buy tickets, view train occupancy, book a seat and search for any information about trains. Definitely mandatory equipment for anyone who travels regularly by train.

Public transport Košice

This application must not be missed by the people of Košice and all those who often travel around Košice by public transport. You can view the bus connections in several ways – as a list of the whole line, by searching for the route “From the stop – To the stop” or to see all the nearest departures from a specific stop. The application also contains information about possible delays or earlier arrival of a specific connection. See also the real location of the connection on the map, save your favorite routes, buy an SMS ticket and be always in the picture.

Pelipecky – Cheap flights and travel tips

The Pelipecky application wants to accompany you wherever you go and wants to be helpful. It allows you to book tickets, search for promotions, inform you about announcements, changes and news, and contains a lot of useful travel content. It offers attractions for everyone – for holidaymakers, excursionists, but also workers on the road.

The Look Around application is not a common application for tourists. It specializes in beautiful views of Slovakia. Here you will find information about all the lookout towers, lookout towers and other views that nature has to offer. In addition, you will find a lot of useful content for each place in the application (altitude, transport options, history and more).

Visit new interesting places! Vypadni.sk application will provide you with more than 2000 options with thousands of photos from all over Slovakia. You will discover beautiful nature, unique architecture and the rich history of our country. Did you find interesting places or objects and want to share them? With a few clicks, you can add more places to visit and offer new experiences to other users.

Xplór – tourist guide

The Xplór application will offer you more than 1000 places in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Moravia. It has excellent links with Google Maps navigation and also contains detailed information on opening hours, entry and interesting places in the area. In addition, it rewards you with activity and visiting places with original coins. These are virtual, but also help to contribute to the restoration and maintenance of real tourist attractions. However, you can also use them to buy souvenirs, magnets and the like.

Select Tatry

Get to know the Tatras like few others in front of you – from a bird’s eye view and without the internet! You will find more than 180 peaks, 70 lakes, 16 waterfalls, 21 cottages and mountain hotels. All in 67 valleys. Choose one of 205 hiking trails, from a total length of 407 kilometers. The application will show you your current position and elevation.
