3 days of battery life for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro?

Samsung is preparing the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and this new connected watch under Wear OS would be entitled to three days of autonomy. This is more than remarkable for a connected watch.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5 lineup is due to arrive in about a month and while it looks like a minor upgrade overall, the Pro model looks pretty exciting. The information of the three days of autonomy come from Ice Universe, a very well-informed leaker in everything related to the Samsung universe.

Most Wear OS watches typically last 24 hours or slightly longer, although there have been a few exceptions. The only other watch that manages to achieve such battery life is the Suunto 7, a fitness-focused watch that’s also huge. Mobvoi’s Ticwatch Pro often boasts a battery life of around two days thanks to its dual-layer screen with a low-power consumption layer. Samsung would therefore strike hard with its Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

The battery has already leaked. Its capacity would be 572 mAh, which would represent an increase of almost 60% compared to the existing model. As for what else the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro brings, much of it is still shrouded in mystery.
