This is how you change the battery

Together with blitzer.de, the company Ooono has constructed a virtual passenger who is supposed to be ahead of traffic jams, construction sites and other dangers. In contrast to the human passenger, however, the device runs out of juice after a while – depending on use, this happens after 8 to 10 months. You can find out how to change the battery here.

Ooono Co-Driver No 1: Replace the battery

Although the Ooono hazard warning has a long battery life, sooner or later it will also run out of juice. You can tell by the fact that there are more connection problems and the volume decreases.

Changing the battery is not difficult, a normal 3V CR2450 lithium button battery is used (view on Amazon).

First you have to remove the old battery. Open the co-driver by separating the front from the back. If you have stuck the hazard warning device in the car, you can hold the device sideways and then remove the cover.

Then replace the dead battery with a new one and put the co-driver back together. Then you have to Reconnect your phone to the device. This usually works automatically, but must be done manually after changing the battery. To do this, you first open the smartphone app and then press the Ooono button for about 5 seconds.

Ooono also offers video instructions for changing the battery as an aid:

Audio and visual cues may not be displayed after battery replacement. Lack of sound and light, remove the battery you just installed, and then press the Ooono button for 10 seconds. After you put the battery back in, press the button again for 10 to 15 seconds. Now the Ooono co-pilot should draw attention to himself again.

Remember that you will reconnect your smartphone and the hazard warning device after this process.
