11 apps violate your privacy

When you get a new app from the Play Store, you probably assume that the rights and privacy are all right. However, that is not always the case. This is also evident from a new report that the American AppCenus has released. A special code in the application ensures that the app collects data without the user being aware of it. In total, this concerns eleven applications that have been downloaded millions of times.

The applications in question collected countless data. So it was about location, they could access your phone number, your clipboard and email addresses. Other data was also collected without users’ consent. The researchers report that the data was stored on a server at a company linked to the US government. It is unclear whether this data was also requested by the government. The government there usually uses them for intelligence and defence.
