Zelda Ocarina Of Time: the PC port becomes playable on Mac

An unofficial port of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time exists on PC and now it is available on mac. It is also found on hacked Wii U consoles.

Technically, those who wanted to play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Mac could already do it with a Nintendo 64 emulator. But the idea here is to have a “native” version, with some adjustments along the way (HD graphics, support for ultra-wide screens, support for the keyboard, mods for customization, gyro aiming, etc). Version 3.0 is called Ship of Harkinian (Rachael Alfa).

The new version available brings other changes, in addition to support for Mac and hacked Wii U. Players can now take advantage of a free camera, add objects at the D-Pad, have support for up to 250 frames per second and random objects. Various cheat codes have also been added, including the ability to adjust the damage Link takes when he falls.

Downloading the game is from this discord server. The original PC port was made possible through a two-year fan-driven project that analyzed Nintendo’s game code and worked to adapt it. There had been a similar project with Super Mario 64.

As a reminder, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was originally released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998. It is often heralded as “the greatest game of all time”.
