Going forward, only paying users will be able to watch music videos on YouTube Music. This policy change will be implemented first in Canada; although it will apply to everyone in the future, although it is not said when. It is remarkable, because music videos still remain available to everyone in the regular YouTube app.

For Canadian users who do not pay, the background music will be available for free. To listen to this Premium was previously required.
