YouTube expands the ability to have multiple audio tracks for videos

YouTube announces that its new feature that allows you to have multiple dubbings on a video is now available to more content creators. The feature was already in testing with some, including MrBeast.

This feature is especially useful for educational or training videos, where creators can add multiple audio tracks to accommodate the needs of different audiences. For example, a language lesson video might include multiple audio tracks for different language skill levels, or a job training video might include multiple choice tracks for different industries.

Besides, this feature can also help content creators reach a wider audience and reach users who speak different languages. Creators can add audio tracks in multiple languages, allowing viewers to choose the language they prefer or understand best.

In its first tests, YouTube says that in January more than 3,500 multilingual videos were uploaded in more than 40 languages. Videos dubbed into multiple languages seem to benefit from increased watch time, with 15% of views in the video’s non-primary language. Videos dubbed into multiple languages also means that creators don’t need to maintain separate channels to host videos in other languages; they can just dub a video on their main channel.

YouTube does not yet say when the feature will be available to 100% of YouTubers. Regarding its access, just click on gear and choose “Audio tracks”. You can take the test on this video by MrBeast.
