Best smartphone up to 200 euros

If you’re just looking for a smartphone for WhatsApp, taking photos and without heavy use, you don’t always have to buy a very expensive smartphone. DroidApp has again researched which smartphone is best to buy with a budget of 200 euros. We list these independently for you, in random order.

Under each device you will find a device button. On this page you can immediately find all specifications, together with the current prices!

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10

Xiaomi is now a pretty well-established name in smartphone land. Not very strange; for a decent price you get an extensive smartphone. So is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10. This is equipped with a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with Full-HD+ resolution. In addition, there is 64GB of memory, NFC, a quad camera with 48MP main lens and a wide-angle lens and there is a Snapdragon 678 chipset. The 5000 mAh battery can be charged quickly with 33W.

With these specifications it actually seems like a winner, because the device costs less than 200 euros. It is therefore a well-reviewed device. Xiaomi is a bit vague about the update policy. We do expect Android 12. Users are very enthusiastic about the camera, the camera and the screen. The fingerprint scanner is located on the right side of the device. There is also 5G available, which is unique in this price range.

Samsung Galaxy A13

Samsung Galaxy A13

Samsung has the Samsung Galaxy A13 in its range in this price range. This recently released phone has a hefty 6.6-inch Full-HD+ display and a quad camera with 50MP main lens. The Galaxy A13 runs directly on Android 12 from the factory and there is an Exynos 850 chipset. The 5000 mAh battery can be charged with 25W.

The update policy is very strong with the Samsung Galaxy A13. Not only Android versions will be rolled out in the coming years. You can also expect security updates for four years; which is very neat, and especially in this price range.

Moto G22

Motorola’s Moto G22 was released in our country in April. This device is also immediately equipped with Android 12. There is a Helio G37 processor from MediaTek; the screen is a 6.5 inch screen, but it has to do with HD+ resolution, instead of Full-HD+. We also see a 5000 mAh battery and NFC is also not to be missed.

Unfortunately, nothing is known about the update policy, although Motorola does regularly roll out a security update.

Nokia G21

If you choose a new smartphone from Nokia, the Nokia G21 is a nice device in this price range. The phone was previously discussed in the Nokia G21 review. You will receive Android and security updates for three years, although the device is still awaiting the update to Android 12.

The Nokia G21 is especially a good choice if you don’t want the best camera, because it isn’t great with the device. The device also offers a 6.5-inch HD+ display, a 5050 mAh battery and a Unisoc T606 octa-core processor.

Which one should I choose?

The range of really good smartphones in this segment and this price range is quite clear. This is the selection of the four best models. If you want the best specifications, we would choose the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10. However, do you go for the best price-quality ratio, in the sense that you can still be sure of updates in a few years’ time; then we would recommend the Samsung Galaxy A13. These are actually also the two models with the best specifications, which we would both put first.
