Listen to Netflix Spatial Audio: even without AirPods
Spatial Audio is great and streaming services such as Netflix and Disney Plus have been supporting it for some time. Still, you always had to have the AirPods Pro, AirPods 3, AirPods Max or Beats Fit Pro to hear the special sound.
That is now changing. Spatial Audio can therefore be listened to with films and series on Netflix if you do not have fancy new AirPods. The streaming site will use Sennheiser’s AMBEO technology. This ensures that you get (sort of) Spatial Audio on Netflix with all devices. So the AirPods 2 or other earplugs also have access to the better sound.
Spatial Audio on Netflix, not quite the same
Secretly it is not quite the same as Spatial Audio from Apple, but the effect is about the same. With this new technology, Netflix can provide any stereo headphones or speakers with Spatial Audio or 3D sound.
As a Netflix subscriber, do you use stereo sound? Then you will automatically hear the new Spatial Audio. Already have AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro with Spatial Audio support? Then everything stays the same.
