How to downgrade iOS 15 beta to iOS 14

  1. Open the Finder app on your Mac;
  2. Connect your iPhone to your Mac with a Lightning cable;

  4. Click “Restore” in the window that now appears in Finder;
  5. Wait for iOS 14 to download and follow the on-screen steps;
  6. Install the iOS 14 backup via your Mac or iCloud.

The way you activate recovery mode differs per iPhone. Therefore, take a good look at which method applies to your device.

  • iPhone 8 or later: short press Volume Up, then Volume Down. After that, press and hold the Lock button until Recovery Mode appears.
  • iPhone 7 (Plus) and iPod touch: Press and hold the lock button and home button until recovery mode appears.
