You can also pre-order a connection to Musek’s Starlink internet to the Czech Republic
Starlink, a megaproject by the American billionaire and innovator Elon Musek, which aims to connect the entire planet to satellite Internet, already has pre-orders available for addresses in the Czech Republic. Right on the web of this fast growing service you can fill in your location and, with the payment of a refundable deposit of $ 99 (approximately CZK 2,150), join the waiting list. The company should officially bring the Internet to our region next year. However, even by signing up for this priority program, applicants are not guaranteed that they will get to them in the first waves. The interest is huge and the demand is several times higher than the supply.
The price of $ 99 is only a fraction of the fee for renting all the necessary equipment and a flat fee for connection. It is currently reaching maximum speed 150 megabits per second and responses within 30 milliseconds. As soon as the interested party manages to get to the service and the necessary equipment thanks to the pre-order, it will be issued once to $ 499 (approximately CZK 10,800) for hardware and then to others 99 per month.
As with other pioneering solutions, it pays for initial development. Speeds should rise over time and flat rates should fall. The $ 99 deposit is refundable, so if you change your mind about pre-ordering the Starlink service for your home in the Czech Republic, the company will refund you the full amount immediately. Even in the case where the processing of pre-orders really starts.
Will you go for it? What do you say about prices and speed?
