Now, thanks to the developers behind GCam, users of devices from other brands can also download the Camera app from the new Pixels. The novelty was brought by the Gizchin portal.

Great software optimization and interesting features don’t just have Google Pixel owners

GCam has been on the market for some time, but version 8.3 now, in addition to improved photo optimization software and application design, also brings new features available on the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models. In addition to options such as night and portrait mode or astrophotography, we will also find, for example, the Magic Eraser function in the new version. This is used to easily remove unwanted objects from the photo. The application can also automatically detect and correct faces that are blurred in the resulting photo. After the new one, it will also be more accurate when rendering different skin tones.

The only condition is to have a smartphone with Android 9 or later and support for the Camera2 API. However, since it is not an official application that is optimized by the manufacturer exactly for your smartphone, there may be some problems when using it. In previous versions, there was a problem on several devices, especially with the support of multiple sensors.
