You can already try iOS 16 as beta

iOS 16, as well as iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, macOS Ventura and tvOS 16 are now available to try as beta.

This fall, Apple will roll out a new version of iOS. Not only that. There will also be iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, macOS Ventura and tvOS 16. Because yes, Apple has quite a bit of its own software for all the devices they sell.

For most people, iOS will be the most important. After all, for iPadOS you still have an iPad, for watchOS an Apple Watch. For macOS Ventura a Mac and for tvOS an Apple TV. All products that do well at Apple, but the iPhone is the most popular. Apart from the Mac, the iPhone is also the longest on this list of Apple products.

You can already try iOS 16 through a beta. At least if you have that need. It is not recommended to install the trial version on your current iPhone. The beta can contain bugs and not all apps work equally well with the test version. It is therefore always better to install a beta on a device that you no longer use. You must have an old iPhone lying around, of course.

iOS 16 brings a number of small improvements again. Among other things, the possibility to retrieve messages after you have sent them via iMessage is news. There is also a new scheduling feature for the Mail app. iOS 16 will be released in the fall of 2022.
