Xiaomi presents new Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X: all the details
Xiaomi has announced three new phones. They are the new Xiaomi 12, the 12 Pro and the 12X. Both the 12 and the Pro have been rumored for some time and are equipped with a 50 megapixel camera and Qualcomm’s new chipset; the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Xiaomi 12 Series
Since the Xiaomi 11T series, the manufacturer no longer uses the model name Mi. We do not see that with the new Xiaomi 12 and the 12 Pro. What we do see is Qualcomm’s latest high-end processor. After Motorola previously presented a device with this chipset, Xiaomi is the second manufacturer to place the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in its devices. The smartphones were first announced for the Chinese market, but with that announcement we already know a lot.

The Xiaomi 12 is the most compact, with a screen size of 6.28 inches. This is an AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. There is a triple camera with a 50 megapixel main lens, 13 megapixel wide-angle lens and a 5 megapixel telephoto lens. We also see a 32 megapixel front camera for taking selfies. There are stereo speakers on the Xiaomi 12, just like NFC, an infrared port and a 4500 mAh battery. This battery can be quickly charged with 67W, and according to the manufacturer you have a full battery in 39 minutes. You can also charge wirelessly with a power of 50W. According to Xiaomi, it takes 53 minutes to fully charge. For the phone you can choose from the colors black, green, blue and pink.
Xiaomi 12 Pro
With the Xiaomi 12 Pro we see even better specifications. We see a 6.73-inch AMOLED screen and three 50-megapixel cameras. In addition to the main lens, the telephoto lens and the wide-angle lens also have such a high resolution. With the telephoto lens you can zoom in 2x optically. On board the device are Harman Kardon stereo speakers and we find a 4600 mAh battery. Charging is very fast; with 120W, which means that a full charge should only take 18 minutes. There’s also 50W wireless charging, which takes 42 minutes. The color choice is the same as that of the Xiaomi 12.
Xiaomi 12X
Finally, there is the Xiaomi 12X, whose specifications match those of the Xiaomi 12. The difference, however, is the processor. To cut costs a bit more, the Xiaomi 12X is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 chipset.

For now, we only know that Xiaomi will release the devices in China from December 31. International awards and details will be shared later. The price for China is not at all representative of the European market. However, we want to give you an indication. The price for the XIaomi 12 Pro will end at about 790 euros, the price for the 12 at 610 euros and for the 12X 540 euros. We will therefore have to wait a little longer for the information for the European market. That will happen next year.
