Xiaomi presents brand new Redmi 10 with Helio G88 chipset

It is quite possible that you no longer see the forest for the trees with the name at Xiaomi. We already had the Redmi Note 10 before, now it’s time for the Xiaomi Redmi 10.

Xiaomi Redmi 10 announced

The Xiaomi Redmi 10 has been officially announced by the Chinese manufacturer. As we are used to from the manufacturer, you get an extensive device with a friendly price tag. We see that reflected in this smartphone. The Redmi 10 offers a 6.5 inch LCD screen with a Full HD resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It is the first phone equipped with the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset; an octa-core processor. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage as standard. There will also be a version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is not possible to expand this with a memory card.

Xiaomi gives the Redmi 10 a quad camera. The main sensor has 50 megapixels. In the fairly large camera module, we also see an 8 megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2 megapixel depth lens and a 2 megapixel macro lens. An 8MP front camera is placed in the punch-hole on the front. If we look at the list of specifications, we also see a fingerprint scanner on the side, a 3.5 millimeter connection for a headset and stereo speakers.

Under the hood of the Redmi 10 is a 5000 mAh battery. It can be charged faster with a power of 18W. The phone is available in three colors; Carbon Grey, Pebble White and Sea Blue. Out of the box, the Redmi 10 runs on Android 11 with the MIUI 12.5 skin. Prices start at $180 converted. Information about an arrival to Europe is not known.
