Xiaomi Mi Band 6 should have GPS, SpO2 sensor and Amazon Alexa support
Last year, Xiaomi Mi Band 5 was one of the most successful smart bracelets on the Slovak market. This year, fans of the brand are already looking forward to its next generation Xiaomi Band 6 the portal XDA-developers informs what it could bring.
Global version again without NFC chip?
With this information, the portal deals with the claims of the nickname with a nickname Magical Unicorn in the forum GeekDoing, which has in the past brought several leaks from the Chinese company Xiaomi. When examining the Amazepit Zepp application, he revealed in its code a reference to the device with the code designation Pangu and model designation XMSH16HM respectively XMSH15HM. Amazfit brand products belong to the Xiaomi company and the Zepp application is used to control the company’s smart watches and bracelets.
Model designation XMSH16HM is to belong to the Chinese version of the upcoming smart bracelet Xiaomi Mi Band 6. The global version should be coded XMSH15HM. While the Chinese version should have an integrated NFC chip according to the code, in the case of the global version it is not mentioned in the code. It was the same with previous generations of bracelets. New elements of the device’s graphical interface were also extracted from the application. Leaker with a nickname Magical Unicorn ale found in the application code much more interesting parameters of the upcoming bracelet.
For the first time with a GPS chip?
First of all, it should use an SpO2 sensor, which is used to measure oxygenation in the blood. Of course, this is no longer a premium feature even in cheap smart bracelets. An example is the recently introduced Realme Band. Support for Amazon voice assistant Alexa should also be added. More interesting is the mention of a GPS chip, which appears only in bracelets with a price of 100 euros and higher. The measurement of sports activities would become much more accurate and theoretically could also be used for navigation. Xiaomi Mi Band 6 should also be able to measure up to 19 new sports activities.
- Indoor fitness
- Indoor skating
- HIIT
- Warming up
- Stretching
- Stepper
- Gymnastics
- Pilates
- Street dance
- Dance
- Zumba
- Cricket
- Bowling
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Table tennis
- Badminton
- Box
- Kickbox
A novelty should also be the possibility to set the alarm directly on the display of the bracelet, monitor the quality of sleep through the display, or lock it while swimming. Of interest is also the support of Podomoco technology, which serves as a timer for dividing work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes long, separated by short breaks. The performance of Xiaomi Mi Band 6 is expected at the earliest during the spring.
