Today is an exciting day for Xiaomi as it officially launches its new flagship Xiaomi 13 in Europe. Xiaomi developed the phone together with Leica, which implies that the brand, like other brands, is once again investing heavily in the photography skills of the device. Xiaomi launched its 12T and 12T Pro six months ago: phones with considerable specifications, including a 200-megapixel camera that we also saw in the recently released Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Not that Xiaomi was the first to do so: that honor was given to Motorola a few months earlier with its X30 Pro. Not that Xiaomi is not an innovator: it was the first smartphone company with a fingerprint scanner in the LCD screen and the first camera under the screen. Let’s not forget the bizarre 360-degree screen either.
Would Xiaomi 13 come with major innovations? The expectations are that especially the 1-inch sensor in the main camera will steal the show. On the other hand, we will not be able to say much about this with regard to the announcement: we will let the Chinese manufacturer prove that later by working with the camera itself.
