Xbox vs. PlayStation: Big gaming confession from Microsoft
For as long as anyone can remember, Microsoft and Sony have been competitors, and fans are constantly arguing about which company has the better consoles and games. However, Microsoft now admits that Sony has more exclusive games and that many of them are better than their own.
Microsoft admits: Sony’s exclusive titles are of better quality
It is still uncertain whether the takeover of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft will actually go through and it will not be clear before 2023 either. There are still some authoritieswho are still evaluating this acquisition and are wondering if such a large acquisition would even be healthy for the entire video game market.
For example, Sony believes that a takeover would result in numerous disadvantages. This includes, for example, the fear of certain brands such as Call of Duty could disappear from the PlayStation. Although Xbox boss Phil Spencer has now often confirmed that this will not happen in the coming years, there is no such thing as “forever”.
Through the acquisition, Microsoft would secure numerous successful brands. Maybe that’s to compensate for the lack of Xbox exclusives. As Microsoft itself admits in an official document, Sony’s exclusive titles are “qualitatively better‘ than their own. Games like The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War and Spider-Man also speak a clear language.
Speaking in numbers, there were over 280 first- and third-party exclusives on PlayStation in 2021, almost five times as many as on Xbox.

Microsoft plans big changes in 2023: more games for the Xbox
In an interview with YouTubers Justine and Jenna Ezarik a few weeks ago, Phil Spencer spoke about the fact that there were fewer games in 2022 than in a long time. In 2023, however, it should look completely different and the production schedule getting closer to the original plan.
Spencer himself is looking forward to the upcoming games Redfall and Starfieldbut it seems like there could be more surprises in 2023, which would certainly benefit the Xbox.
