Xbox Game Pass: the family offer arrives in new countries
Microsoft announcement the availability of its Xbox Game Pass family offer in six new countries. Unfortunately, France is still not part of the lot.
The six new countries that can take advantage of the family offer of Xbox Game Pass are South Africa, Chile, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand and Sweden. Xbox Insiders in Colombia and Ireland have had access to this build for months now.
As the name suggests, this offer offers the full experience of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to all users included in the subscription. This means they get all the subscription games on Xbox consoles and PCs, EA Play, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and other bonuses.
It is not yet known what the prices will be for new countries joining the program. In Ireland, the offer is available for €21.99 per month.
Here is how Microsoft presents its offer:
- The people you share your subscription with must reside in the same country as you.
- Joining this offer will convert the remaining time on your subscription to time in the new offer, based on the monetary value of the old subscription. For example, a full month of Ultimate will convert to 18 days of subscription for this plan. This way, you won’t lose the remaining value of your existing subscription. The conversion is final and users must wait until their new subscription expires before switching back to an old subscription.
- Conversion is not available to members of guest groups. Before joining a group, a group member can cancel their existing subscription or wait for it to expire. If they don’t have a Microsoft account, invited friends and family will need to create a new Microsoft account and sign in with it to participate.
- Members with Xbox All Access (in supported countries) will not be eligible to participate in this offer.
