The Xiaomi Mi Air Charge offers truly wireless charging

In terms of wireless charging, Xiaomi is one of the most advanced brands compared to the competition. A few months ago, the manufacturer unveiled a new fast charging technology at 80 Watts and would be in preparation for a charge at 120 W. Its next flagship device, the Mi 11 could even benefit from a recharge to 67. W, a record for the market. This Friday, January 29, the Chinese firm is highlighting its Mi Air Charge, a truly wireless charger, that is to say without having to leave its product on the charging station.

In the press release published by the manufacturer, the latter announces that the load works despite the presence of obstacles between the product and the station. The Mi Air Charge is compatible with smartphones, but also connected bracelets, smartwatches and other products with wireless charging. Recharging would be 5W. The charging station uses 5 antennas to detect the product and then sends high-frequency millimeter waves through its 144 antennas. At present, the charging station is not yet on sale. It is therefore not yet possible to know if the Air Charge meets the sanitary standards of a house with the rate of waves sent.
